The need to diminish violence in football, as well as in society more generally, has become widely acknowledged. This, along with advances in understanding human behaviour and in transmitting emotional skills to educators, children and teenagers, has created an excellent opportunity for football to contribute to behavioural social change.
Since 2007, E4P with the support of UEFA have been promoting emotional competence and behavioural awareness in the football world, with the launch of many initiatives. Emotional skills will be playing an increasingly important role in football.
