Through the invitation of “Sport-Étude Valais”, “Cycle d'Orientation Régional de Grône” hosted Education 4 Peace on May 6th as part of their educational project to offer a day of training on E4P’s programme and more broadly on the role of emotions in the coaching of young people. Indeed, either for their well-being or to improve their sporting performance, mastering emotions has a predominant place. Throughout the day the E4P team offered different types of interventions tailored to youth and adults, i.e. moments of exchanges, practical listening exercises centred on the individual, games and other centring exercises.
The 120 young people present actively participated in the programme and the thirty educators would have liked the sessions to last longer. The objective of sensitising around the theme of mastering our emotions was largely achieved and the positive feedbacks from the participants testify a real interest in the subject.
By late afternoon, forty parents joined and heard testimonies from the youths and participated in discussions on the role of emotions.
